For the first time, Moontide will bring his four-piece Ensemble to the Brunswick Picture House in celebration of his new release, A Soft Bloom, out on Serafin Audio in late October.
The show, which is largely improvised, offers a glimpse beyond the veil of Moontide’s previous productions along with other unreleased material. The band explores the subtleties of Modern Jazz, World Music and Electronica through this deeply intentional performance. The ensemble is made up of Louis Tobin (Piano/Programming/Vox), Michael Ingram (Sax & Bass), Nicholas Payne (Percussion), and Miles De Carteret (Guitar), combining delicately woven ambient moments, spoken word, and field recordings, creating an immersive listening experience.
With special support from Juman and Lila Swain.
ABOUT JUMAN: Born and raised in Naarm/ Melbourne, the songstress now resides in the northern rivers of NSW, conjuring music from her forest home on Bundjalung country, and gathering inspiration from her urban upbringing, middle eastern ancestry and love of the natural world.
ABOUT LILA SWAIN: Lila Swain presents a finessed blend of soul and electronica. Lila has a voice that is both childlike and ageless - terrestrial yet otherworldly, with a dark romantic intensity that lures the audience into secret worlds they hold within.
VENUE INFORMATION: Please note the Brunswick Picture House is located in Brunswick Heads NSW, in the Northern Rivers region (not in Brunswick VIC). Please select your tickets carefully as no refund or credit will be granted for errors in identifying the venue location.
