The Travelling Film Festival (TFF), the regional tour of Sydney Film Festival, will return to Nambour. The program will showcase six acclaimed feature films, two superb documentaries and four exceptional Australian short films, direct from this year’s Sydney Film Festival and other major international festivals.

Headlining the programme is The Perfect Candidate, directed by Saudi Arabia’s first female director Haifaa Al-Mansour (Wadjda SFF 2012), an entertaining and revealing look at the changing role of women in Saudi Arabia.

Other stories from around the globe include: Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom, direct from Berlinale 2020, this gem from Bhutan was beautifully shot in the high-altitude peaks of the Himalayas; Poland’s Oscar nominee for Best International Film Corpus Christi; Adam, a remarkably beautiful story set in Casablanca’s old city, this Cannes selected gem, features unforgettable characters, in an emotional and compelling story; one of the most heart-warming spy movies of all time according to Indiewire, the Sundance Film Festival selected documentary, The Mole Agent.

Also included in the program is award winning French film, Only the Animals, by director Dominik Moll, a must-watch mystery thriller and Cannes Film Festival selection Litigante, a thoughtful and provocative Colombian family drama.

To round off the program, the Sydney Film Festival 2020 Winner for Best Australian Documentary, Descent.

This year TFF is also proud to present the Screenability initiative, showcasing provocative cinema by filmmakers with disability - don’t miss Diving In and Groundhog Night; as well as Sydney Film Festival’s 2020 short films finalists, Obscura and the superb Ayaan.
