Live! Talking! Girl!

GIRL GIRL GIRL is the long-awaited debut solo show from me, Bridget Hassed, a RAW Comedy State Finalist and all round cool guy. I’m hot off the heels of returning from Good Chat Comedy and Sydney Fringe Festivals and I’m excited to bring you my new show!

I’m not where I thought I was gonna be, but who is? (If you are, I’m so happy for you but keep it to yourself, thanks!) Out of necessity (slash I don’t have the energy so I’m claiming it's simply too late to change) I’m courageously beginning to lean into my imperfections. Not in the classic, feminist "We all have lumps and bumps, rolls and cellulite but you're beautiful regardless!" way. More of a "I am always constipated, I just got off the phone from crying to my Mum again and I'm about to take another $45 hit on UberEats" way.

There’s no real deep message (although if you find one, feel free to tell the people who do the awards!) but I’ve had it with the Instagramification of everyday life, the need to go through an "era" to express one (1) basic human emotion, and my god I would love to see the death of the aesthetic lifestyle video genre.

Join me for a night of mucking around, having a silly goose time with the vague undertone of wanting to change the way things are – if I had the bloody time. x

Bridget is a queer, neurodiverse and chronically ill comedian/baddie living in Naarm (Melbourne). You may have heard her on 'The Mugg Off' podcast, as well as slinging jokes as a part of Pilot Health's social media campaign. She has been interviewed for The Guardian and the Good Food Guide, has written for Refinery29 and publishes a monthly newsletter on Substack called Another Important Opinion.
